Default Distributor vacuum source

I have checked in my 66 shop manual and cannot find the correct location for the vacuum advance line for the tripower distributor. I did a search here and have been reading about the difference between port and manifold vacuum. This has not helped me find the correct location, but that may be irrelevant since my car is a wv 66 smog car. I have put it back together without any of the smog equipment. So I don't know if it really matters if I plumb it correct for a non AIR car.
My center carb has the rare CA AIR fuel bowl. This fuel bowl has a port right above the base that isn't there on the 7031535 bowls. I thought about using that, but will have an odd vacuum line not correct on usual 66 tripowers.
Anyways, please advise where the correct location is, as I am trying to make it look factory correct/pretty for a non AIR car.
