Default Why can't I find GM logo seatbelts?

I have searched extensively, and cannot find a set of camel tan front seatbelts with the GM logo buttons. They all have that star garnish thing. Is there a reason for this? Are they not allowed to use it ?

Thanks in advance

Juliano's has GM logo seat belts. Their listings are for Chevys, but depending on what car you have they may work. https://www.julianos.com/Direct-Fit-Belts-s/34.htm

Our host Ames Performance also sells seat belts but they may or may not have the correct buckle. I see they do sell a reproduction GM sticker for the buckle. https://secure.amesperf.com/qilan/De...A&web_access=Y

What year & model of Pontiac do you need GM logo camel tan seatbelts for?
I'm guessing.... '78,79, or '80 Firebird. Standard seat belts (small plastic female buckles), & deluxe (small brushed buckles) were both offered, so need to know which style.

Mine is an 80 with the metal buckles.

I have already exhausted all of the above^^^

Im just wondering if anyone knows why they aren't available. You can get them for many other muscle cars. I can't even find any decent used ones.

What car do you want them for? I have a parts source that just listed new ones for sale the guys name is John Hurd the site is

www.secondgengraveyard.com

He sells new and used parts. He just had the seatbelts listed and shown on his Facebook page with the GM on the buckles.

Thanks guys.
I think Im bad at phrasing my posts... I really have exhausted all the usual places. I won't put used ones on this car. All I wanted was if someone had some past dealings as why such a popular item IS NOT allowed.

moving on to my next fiasco...

2X with Morris classics. Bought their Camel Tan (they have another color name, but it is very close in color) upgraded belt, with weave that comes near to matching the OEM on my ‘79 T/A Y84 W72 car. Also, metal buckles. Good quality and great service. Highly recommended.

You gotta hit the swaps. I found a guy w/ 4 tubs of webbing a few years back, with the matching thread, the guys dad work at fisher body, he had a bunch of colors, and he gave you a spool of the thread used, get the correct buckles, have the correct ones made. Camel is spot on, it’s nOS. I have one mint deluxe belt with camel webbing on I’m taking to Dayton

Many places offering the "Mark of Excellence " tab on new belts Do Not have them anymore. The license to use the " mark" came when GM was General Motors Corporation .
That corp does Not exist now. A new Agreement with General Motors "COMPANY", as I was told, would be very cost prohibitive due to liabilities not in previous agreements.
I have Morris with the GM and they are nice pieces.

It is surprising that tan is not reproduced. It’s not like you are looking for green or red, tan is a pretty common color in a very common car.

They dont make anything in camel rite. I sent a pkg tray back, then I found a nOS GM one. I hit all the swaps, keep an eye on CL.
I actually have a nOS roll in green, bought it for a guy , then he pimped me. I’m stuck with it.

So Morris no go... no GM anymore. Sharons and Python were dead ends.

But SSnake-oyl can do it! I was told to send in what I have and they will make the correct replacment with refurbed GM buttons. Exactly what I needed. No idea on cost. I presume not cheap. LOL

And Formulabruce, thats what I was looking for. Thanks, I figured it had to do with lawyers.
