I just posted a new thread with a '69 Liberty Blue coupe that just showed up on BaT today. That one has a blue vinyl top. I'd change that to white if it were my car.
I just checked and you are correct that FB is metallic.

'68 Flambeau Burgundy is indeed metallic. I still have a paint can with some paint left from '93. It's a very fine metallic just like Blue Charcoal Poly or Platinum Silver.

Repaint yours. Ay least then you know what you've got.

The only way you get that many off-focus pictures is if you intentionally photoshop the sharpness.

I buy guns and guitars at auction and learned to never buy when out-of-focus/underexposed pictures are provided.

I agree with Neighbors Greg. I don't see anything wrong with changing to another factory original color. I'm actually thinking about painting my original Liberty Blue '69 to Matador Red.

Not a lot of photos of Flambeau on the Internet that I could find. Here's a nice one I did find though. Looks great with the black vinyl top:

OMG.... don't get me thinking about that!!
Because that would basically open up every factory color as a possibility.... Which of course IS always a possibility.
I believe the vinyl top car is local to me. My memory ain't what it used to be but I believe those yellow reflectors on the headlight covers are familiar.
It DOES look good with the black vinyl top and parchment interior.
