Any suggestions on what kind of distributor I should use to get away from the original points type distributor on my '63 Catalina? The car is stock with the 389\2 barrel\Slim-Jim trans. This car is my daily driver and reliability is my objective. Thanks for the input.

Install a unilite or a Pertronix in your dist!
Points are very reliable anyways. I've only had one set fail in all the years I've been driving and Walking to K-mart (One mile) Had me on my way!

I have a petronics on my catalina, plus a msd 6. I notice a drifference when i installed the petronics quicker at kick down i use it has a everyday driver. I installed the petronics first ran it for about 6 months then installed the msd later. It worked better with the msd i noticed more power and eazy start up
