Up for sale is one 1969-70 Pontiac Custom Sport "wood" steering wheel. This was removed from a 1969 GTO in a salvage yard in the mid-1980s. It has been stored in dry indoor storage ever since then.

Per my 1971 Pontiac parts catalog, the steering wheel is correct for all 1969-70 models, including Tempest, Lemans, GTO, Custom S, Firebird, Catalina, Executive, Bonneville, and Grand Prix. It is not correct for the 1970 Firebird.

I would say that approximately 60% of the wheel rim has some of the original grain showing. There is one very small crack forming near one of the spokes, but that is the only crack.

The spokes and hub are in good condition and free of pitting or rust.

The horn button is free of damage and the horn switch appears to be good too.

This is a very nice steering wheel with a good appearance. If you don't need a perfect wheel, this could go right onto your car with no work.
