Howdy, new member here. I have a '65 2+2 that winds up pretty high on the freeway with factory 3.42 limited slip and a mild 455. I am looking at sticking in (at a gear shop) 2.93 or maybe even 2.73 gears. Does anyone know what components I would need to get this done, such as gears, carrier, caps, etc? Would my factory limited slip hardware be able to go with it? Thanks.

Welcome to the board.

The 2.93 ratio gear goes on the mid ratio carrier. The 3.42 goes on the low ratio carrier. If interested in doing some swapping for a mid ratio limited slip carrier & gears, click on the envelope & drop me an e-mail. thanks.
