Default 1969 PONTIAC GTO 400 RAM AIR IV REAR AXLE

I HAVE UP FOR SALE A REAL RARE AXLE THAT I PROMISE YOU MAY ONLY SEE ONCE IN 10 YEARS FOR SALE...............

THIS AXLE HAS BEEN SHELVED SINCE 1984 WHEN MY LATE OLD MAN PARTED DOWN A REAL RAM AIR IV GOAT THAT GOT HIT IN THE FRONT .......................

HE SAVE THIS AXLE TO USE ONE DAY BUT IT NEVER MADE IT BACK INTO A GOAT...... I THINK AT SOME POINT IT HAD MORE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE FOR HIM WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER CAUSE I WANTED TO USE IT IN MY GOAT BUT HE NEVER LET ME HAVE IT.. AND NOW THAT IT IS MINE SOME 30 YEARS LATER I REALLY HAVE NO USE FOR IT ......SINCE I DONT OWN A RAM AIR IV GTO AND IT DOES NOT FIT MY 70 RAM AIR IV TRANS AM ITS GOT TO GO.

SO HERE IT IS....................

FIRST OFF THE AXLE HAS NOT BEEN HACKED ON, CUT ON, WELDED ON, THE HOUSING IS 100 PERCENT ORIGINAL AS PONTIAC JIGGED IT UP TO BE.......

THE AXLE CODE IS 100 XM

THE DATE CODE IS 71 DAY OF 69

CASTING CODE 9795084

AND YES THE CASE HAS THE GIANT N !!!!!!FOR NODULAR

THIS AXLE IS A 4 PINION HEAVY DUTY POSI !!!!!

ORIGINALLY I THINK THIS AXLE WAS A ORIGINAL 4:33 TO 1 POSI BUT AT SOME POINT IT WAS CHANGED TO 3: 90 TO 1 HENCE THE DIFFERENT GM RING GEAR......

EVERYTHING ON THE INSIDE LOOKS REAL NICE NO CHIPPED OR MISSING TEETH ON THE GEARS OR SPIDERS

BUT PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS AXLE IS 44 YEARS OLD YOU WILL NEED TO FRESHEN THIS THING UP WITH 433 GEARS OR EVEN THE LESSOR 390'S IN IT NOW THIS AXLE WAS NOT USED TO BRING MILK AND COOKIES HOME FOR THE KIDS BUT IF IT EVER WAS ONE THING I CAN SAY THE MILK GOT HOME COLD THATS FOR SURE......

SO IF YOU HAVE A REAL GTO JUDGE WITH A RAM AIR IV ENGINE AND ITS MISSING ITS ORIGINAL AXLE OR YOU HAVE A LESSOR LESS VALUABLE ONE UNDER IT RIGHT NOW THIS WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM ONCE AND FOR ALL AND RETURN YOUR CARS VALUE BACK TO THE STRATOSPHERE

WE WILL SHIP THIS AXLE ANYWHERE IN THE U.S. IF YOU ARE OVERSEAS PLEASE CALL FOR EXTRA ARRANGEMENTS...................... I'm assuming this fine piece of automobile equipment has found a home in the last decade? In need of a XM code rear end myself.

You better jump on that rear!!!! It's just what you need. Did you find a PQ transmission yet?

Unfortunately, no PQ trans yet. I have gotten together a lot more parts for the car over the past year, though. The XM rear end is going to be the toughest piece of the puzzle to put into place...

Well seeing as this ad is over a decade old I think you might have missed your chance to jump on it.

But you never know…..however placing a ‘parts wanted’ ad just might bear some fruit.
