Default What do you think its worth??

Thinking about picking it up but would like opinions regarding what a fair price would be it is a 400/400 body seems to be pretty straight, it does not run it is literally around the corner from me...I took a few pics

The guy says its an SJ but the center console says J? The only rust is a small hole on the rear passenger side below the back window..

SJs have power windows, power seat, tilt, and factory gauges...or at least every one ive had or cut up..i dont know the specifics, but from what i understand, thats the SJ..personal luxury...id think a stripped down no power anything would be a J..but ive been wrong before...

Looks like a "put-together" to me, I'd offer only about $700 since it appears to be a non runner sitting for a while. IT has the 70 bumper on the rear, 70 back glass and sail panel trim, 70 doors, changed the quarter ends and perhaps the 69 front sheet metal is what's not original to the car. Under the hood is probably a mid 70's 400 with 71-75 pulley set so check the codes on the block and heads. I'd guess it's a 70 J with 69 SJ fenders and a replaced engine.

Assuming no engine rebuild and trans ok, expect to put $3000 in it to get it on the road....

Post Original Cali car?

Yup, it's a '70 with a '69 front clip and mid '70's motor... mongrel for sure, prices sound right and the lower the better.

With the way that car appears to have been stored, I'd do some poking around the rear window & upper 1/4 panel area, & get an idea how solid those areas are. The lower 1/4's look nice in the pics. 3 of the last 4 Grand Prix's I've cut up never had vinyl roofs and had very solid bodys. Many of the loaded out '69 & 70 SJ's I've dragged in over the years were rusty. Previous owners would have restored them if it wasn't for expensive metal work/roof skin & 1/4 replacement.

Wow...you guys are good i did not notice the 69 clip!! Underneath the vinyl top there is no bubbling but there is a small hole on the passenger side at the bottom of the windo. I was looking to see if I could find the rear drivers side window and couldn't locate one in eBay. Will the 70 Monte Carlo window interchange

The car has a dual exhaust setup on it already,

Well it dont look like a bad car to work with and make into a driver. Depending on if the motor cranks over or even fires.

Its a '70... still has the original 1970 issue CA blue & yellow license plate on the front too. A few years back I paid $1000 for a well optioned '69 Model J that was all original, but in about the same shape. For what it would take to get this car road worthy, you could buy a decent driver I would think.

I think the goat skin seat covers are a nice touch.
The engine doesn't look right for a 69, wrong brackets and the carb looks to be mid 70's. get the engine information, that's where the money is.
Just my opinion.
