I would drive if it were mine too. I don't mind to gamble.

I would keep it, it`s your dream of a life time. Don`t let someone else easily fork over the cash and take it away. Personally, i would regret it and have experienced that feeling before from letting one of my Pontiacs go. Don`t do it!

I understand what you guys are saying, but I have my RA III 68' which has always been my fav. Finding this car has definitely been a bonus and will help me bring my 68' to completion.
You can only drive one at a time and one is enough for me. I realize the 70' is a much rarer and faster car, but I still love my 68'. |

Thanks for answering and posting what you could of the build sheet. BTW, your hood would have had Ram Air IV, in red.

I would have considered $7000 for that car if it were a plain-jane GTO. Definitely a Judge or any mark RA. I love the color combo and the fact that it's a 4 speed.

Hi all, I got the Judge running today, put the tranny back in and drove her around the block. The trans. shifts smooth and the car runs fine. Not alot of power with the YH motor that is in it.
Anyway, all of the important stuff works well. Here are some current pictures of it. Tony Last edited by stockcar32; 08-28-2007 at 07:46 AM. |

sad part is I have already heard stories about how guys at this forum have tried to screw him out of it, least greg is up front, blows me away what people here will do to get a car, keep the car for a little while take everything in then decide what to do, I definately would not rush into getting rid of it, being such a rare car interest will not go away and there are plenty of buyers with plenty of cash

I'd take the 40K offered and be very happy. When is another opportunity going to come where you can make 5 times your money in a week? You could pay off a lot of mortgage with that money.
That bests my offer by a large amount--to which I got no response. |

Sorry for not getting back to you Doug, it has been a crazy last couple of days and I spent all day today getting the car running. I am waiting until next weekend to let the smoke clear and will let everyone here know what we would like to get out of the car.

I can see that. No offense taken. I'm sure I wasn't the highest before Greg.

Nice score Stockcar. Its good to see another RA$ car found. IMO the car is worth more than 40k but dont think its worth over 50k. I think the car done with a Sr motor is worth 115 to 130.

Hi, I am interested to see what Greg's car brings as it is more or less identical other than the interior color. His car is already up to $75k and it just went on the block last night.
Whatever my car ends up bringing in, it has been a way cool experience, I am sure a once-in-a-lifetime find. Once again, it has been a pleasure talking to most of you and I will post a asking price this weekend. |

Best of luck. I am happy for you. If prices are going to be sky high, might as well see some regular Pontiac guys make a little of the dough.

I bought a Ra4 Judge a few months ago without a motor which is in much better shape than the car you have. I think if you can get 45 to 50 for the car I would take the money and run.

Tony, Just got around to checking the thread tonight. Congrats on a great barn find!! You should write up the whole story and publish it when this is all done. Make sure you get several nights sleep before you pull the trigger on a sale. You might never get another chance to own a RAIV car. Hope it goes to a good home if you decide to move it. Wish I had the $$$ to make a serious offer but cannot right now. John

Thanks John, this would definitely make a good "My Best Pontiac Story" in the forum. I am really happy that this whole thing has really got me "connected" with a few a you guys out there. Evereybody has been super supportive and helpful. I am very lucky to have been able to actually talk to alot of you guys and feel like I am much more a part of the worldwide Pontiac community than before this car fell into my lap.

Tony,
Great barn find!! It is truly amazing how these cars come up these days. I read this thread also, and felt the excitement of uncovering an untouched RA IV 4 speed Judge. It would have only been better if the engine was found in like under a tarp in the corner with the carb, distr, heads all there. WOW! Still finding the build sheet as a way to verify your treasure is way cool as well! Thanks for posting it too, as it has some great infomation to see. Did you ever get the PHS? If you could post that as well when you get a chance. Thanks, Mike
