Hey Kyle I was the guy that almost bought your car last summer (earlier post in this thread). Now this came up not to far from me, you need to add this to your stable.

Hey Kyle - I got that in the mail last week (?) and glanced it over, but didn't even notice that it was my LeMans until you pointed that out. Thanks! There were a lot better cars there than mine, so they must have lost all there good-car pictures and only had the crap cars pics left (LOL).

LOL! Well in my book, your car was one of the coolest ones there!

Cool car! I saw that on eBay a few days ago. Really nice interior and AC. Whenever I see the stick-on side moulding on these cars, I always wonder what people were thinking; the body lines don't need any help! I suppose they're good for stopping door dings. If only I had the money to snatch up every gold '70 Tempest/LeMans that came along. . .

Are you in the market?

Kyle, really great car. I love the color combo. My '71 T-37 originally came with Jade green bench interior, but was not in good shape so I swapped a Sandalwood bucket interior from a '71 LeMans Sport. The '70 dark green interior is so much better looking than the '71 green IMO...I would have kept mine green if it had been a '70!

Thanks, Eric! I've never seen a '71 cloth interior in person. I'll have keep an eye out!

I had a great time at the 2016 Indian Uprising hosted by the Cruisin' Tigers GTO club at Pheasant Run in St. Charles Illinois this past weekend. I got to meet up with some great Pontiac people (some of which I met in person for the first time), such as Bill Knuth, Lyn Fitzgerald, Chris Powers (Pontiac Midwest Connection), Jody Traylor, Nick Spensieri, Paul Weinstein, Randy Condon and his family, Tim and Penny Dye, Bill Porter. . . The quantity of great cars was overwhelming!

On Sunday, I was really surprised when Don Keefe tracked me down in the show field. "Hey, Kyle!" He had come by to check out the Tempest I had told him about... During the awards ceremony, for the Don Keefe Celebrity Pick, I heard "Baja Gold 1970 Tempest" come across the sound system. I could not believe it! I've been in love with these cars my whole life (at least since that fateful day my dad's got wrecked when I was 2). . . I know there were a lot of really special cars at that show and not a lot of people were going to take notice of a Tempest. But to me, a '70 Tempest Post Coupe is as near and dear as any car can be. The fact that Don picked up on that and went out on a limb to choose it for his only pick at a show like that just blew me away.

I've never won a trophy before at a car show and I don't expect any more, but if this is the only one I ever get, that's good enough for me!

Default My New '70 Tempest

Coverage of the Indian Uprising just got published in Don Keefe's Poncho Perfection, Volume 2, Number 11 November 2016! That's the first time any car I've owned has gotten coverage, and this recognition from Don made it extra special!

"There were a couple cars there this year that really brought home what the hobby is all about. Cars make make a huge imprint on a young mind. For Kyle Kruszewski, it was 1970 Tempest that his dad owned that made him fall in love with Pontiacs. Unfortunately, the car was totaled when Kyle was just two years old. He searched for many years to find a car just like his dad's and finally he located and purchased a gold 1970 Tempest with a 350 and a green bench seat interior. The car was gorgeous and the story struck such a chord with me that I gave it an Editor's Choice Award" (pg. 53, 55).
