I love the patina on this car, I would drive this thing as-is (with the proper safety maintenance of course)

Patina? I guess that's one way to describe it.

It's not exactly the word I was looking for but still looks like a cool driver to me. I have a picture of a '66 GTO that really has a cool patina, looks like b-man's car.

I'm not sure if I posted these pics but this car has a really nice stance to it, has the perfect rim setup I was looking for.

Wink

Here is the only picture I have of mine. It is at the body shop and I have not seen a full picture of it yet. Can't wait till I see it. 2 weeks till I can pick it up. It will have a parchment interior.

Thanks for all the great pictures.

Some day I'll have a great looking ride like the rest of you.

Sorry I have too. That car is a mess!!! My car is a clone too, but I don't even know what you would call that car...

I remember that car from, I think, ebay. Some folks posted some pretty unflattering comments about it at some point.

came across this nice fall shot of my old '69 and thought I'd post it. The paint and panel fit on this car were excellent and the paint was over 15 years old in this photo. Car is owned by a guy in central New Jersey now that takes very good care of it, it has a tuxedo white/black interior now and custom steering wheel that were added after I sold it.

Hey Rick, that looks nice.

I really like the passenger side sport mirror. I'm going to have my 69 painted soon and wanted to add the sport mirrors too. Any tips for the right look? Not sure if sport mirrors from Firebirds work?

the mirrors were on it when I bought it but were supposed to be 2nd gen. Firebird mirrors. You will have to use the remote cable/adjustor that comes on the Firebird mirror if you want the drivers side to be remote.

My car used to be those exact colors at some point. It even has the Cragar SS rims on it... in a 14x10 in the rear and 14x6 or 7 up front. I still am debating what color to go with and probably won't decide until paint time, the Verdoro green has grown on me a bit. However with the amount of roof rust on both GTOs I have owned I'll stick without a vinyl top.

I'll try to add more to this, I have tons of pictures however there's a lot to sort through.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your car. I really like the color combination as well as it being a '69 GTO. I really don't have to much of a preference between '68 to '72 Pontiac "A" Bodies. It's like everything else though, every once in a while one sticks out. Yours definitely sticks out to me.

When I was younger a friend of mine had a '71 Chevelle SS 454. He probably still has it, I haven't seen him in about 15 years. It was dark green, black interior, black vinyl top and black deck line stripes. It was a little different shade of green then yours. It was about the same color as my Camaro ('78 paint code 48 "dark blue-green", I have no idea where the blue came from, it's as dark green as dark green comes).

I'm going to paint my car the factory color, finishing switching the interior to black, put a full vinyl top on it, thanks to eaglesan13 I now have the molding for the vinyl top and it's in great shape and I might put black deck line stripes on it too.

I'd love to see them.

I gotta have my wife show me how to post pic's lol. We had a heat wave the last few days and all the snow either melted or fell off my car. It's nothing to look at right now though. Last year we (my son (9), my dad and I) rebuilt the entire drive train. Now we have to work on the body and interior. It'll be a longer process then the drive train. Body work's not our thing.
