Running my new engine this Saturday on the dyno (fingers are crossed). Need to finish one project in the garage first and then start the engine change and some upgrades. Normally race at Muncie Dragway in Indiana. I had a few good runs with the new engine last year 10.31@129 with a 1.399 sixty foot times. But it had some issues and needed some additional attention LOL! The engine is an IA2 iron block, edelbrock round port heads, 489 CID.

I need more time slips like this one.
When I race the Nostalgia Races I run Pro Gas (8.50 class), I am the ONLY Pontiac in my class and the ONLY Pontiac in Pro Gas!

I think I am going to be taking this summer off to regroup. We had what I consider to be a pretty successful last year and a half since we got the car back together. we did have a hiccup or two. we lost a head gasket and fire sloted the head at the no box nationals on the first pass of day 2, and then I loaned the car out to a buddy who needed a ride for indy. the week before, I was out breaking in the new 3.70 gear we had just put in, and the balancer broke where it goes over the snout of the crank. the crank looked fine, and its a stock rotating assy, so I had another stock balancer to try. we put it on, and it seemed fine. he ran it at indy in the bracket finals and the spotsman race of champions, and then the following week for points at our home track. he made it to the final, but noticed it had no oil pressure after getting the win at 4 cars. I'm wondering if the balancer failure didn't cause harmonics which knocked the mains out slowly. its time to upgrade but its only money, plus the car as at the point to where it needs a roll bar in good air.. I cant short shift it enough with the converter to keep it below 7.35. good luck to everyone.. there's some great bracket and index programs out there right now. I look forward to hearing about some of you guys kicking but this year and maybe we'll see ya out there next year or the following.

Here's 3 big bracket races this week.

http://drr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/t...4/m/2637004976

http://drr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/t...4/m/7537004976

This last one is in Prescott, Ark, where we use to race a lot. If I was still racing a full schedule, I'd probably enter this one. But, anyhow, I'm glad that area racers have a good place to race.

Made it to the final in Mod yesterday in Darlington SC, drew left lane and car previous round lost a hose and wet it down. Well, cleanup turned out to not be the best, and got runner up. Had agreed to a split, so still not a bad day.

BTW: Darlington replaced all of the concrete on the track and re-routed the staging lanes where you drive out from under the tower, worth the trip if you get the chance.

Suppose to race in 2 weeks, still a foot of snow here , and it’s still winter, got through a few gremlins last year, ended it on a high note at 10:15 @131. Looking forward to Norwalk and some good air, 3500 ft on a good day sucks donkey dick!

That’s a hell of a package on a 10.0 dial in, money in the sock!

And CONGRATS AAAAAAGAIN! To Ricky Bobby Probird for his WIN TODAY!!!

On a side note congrats to Badgto for getting to the 4th round yesterday I'm sure it felt really good to not worry about nothin but letting go of the button on time......even though Ricky won back to back weekends I'm still convinced it's your year!

Thanks Jason! The Eddyville race was their Big Bucks Memorial weekend. I had some luck along the way and the car bailed me out a few rounds too.

Last weekend Badgto and I went to another $1500 to win race. He lost 4th round and I carried 2 entries into 5th round before I lost 1 of my entries. Then lost the other one at 6 cars. I went on to win their regular program on Sunday. Two good weeks in a row. Hopefully it carries into this weekend and to the No Box Nationals the following weekend. It's $5000,$10,000, and $5000 to win over the long weekend.
