Default dash panel

I already changed out all the car wood grain, door panel/console to a carbon fiber look with self applicaid vinly. The dash is hard. I peeled off the woodgrain with a heat gun and it left a sticky bumpy base . so I am making plastic inlays to glue my carbon fiber to . traced and cut them out with razor knife

I tried to remove the wood grain stuff off my dash panel & it did the same thing, it left the glue behind. What I have tried on a couple of them I have is ,, I went to the hardware store one that sell counter tops & cabinets & got some of the formica that goes on the countertops & cut it to fit. I haven't found the correct style yet but cutting out the pieces for the panel is pretty easy & then it sticks down easy with some adhesive like the stuff for headliners. Those shops have lots of samples to use so you can get just about any pattern you want.

I'm not a fan. I think that it is to much black on the face of the panel. I have always liked the wood grain because it makes it pop out at you. I'm glad for you if you like it as it is a new look for the car. But I guess I'm just old fashion as the wood is my choice.
