I couldn’t locate any evidence of a projectile in the room that has the broken window that was facing north. The wind was blowing the rain into that room and there was water laying on the floor 8 feet from the window. I wasn’t home at the time but at work a few miles north when it happened and we had pea sized hail there. I can only guess that maybe hail broke the window.

You are ok that’s the important thing! like our garage and shop roofs, the window can be replaced, and the debris cleaned up.

I too can't imagine living with the threat of tornados and crazy weather. I'd rather put up with the occasional earthquake. Then there's Oklahoma getting tornados, floods and earthquakes although there's been a few small tornados up in California's Central Valley from time to time. Nothing like what happens back east.

There's a reason people in California put up with the high cost of living out here. It's not called a "SUN TAX" without a reason.

The house has been here for over 200 years and survived a battle and hundreds of people getting operated on and limbs amputated in and around. I sure hope a little wind won't do much more damage. Now fire....this house will light up quicker then Nick Nolte hitting the crack pipe.

We had hail come through last night in two waves. The first pass was the worst, it was golf ball sized and came down pretty hard. The initial burst of hail was followed by some hard rain for a few minutes, the rain slacked up, then it started hailing again.

I've already received three calls from roofing companies telling me they have people in the area and asking if I want to have my roof inspected.

Sorry to hear that, we are in for another round tomorrow. Only saying a possibility of hail with the straight line winds and rain this time.

I was lucky, only a few dings in the cars. Most of the hail was about the size of a quarter, there were only a couple of golf ball sized pieces. Two of the cars were sitting under trees, so the leaves slowed the hail down. It shredded the leaves, they were all over the ground.

I live about 1 - 2 miles from a couple of large car dealerships. When we had hail storms a few years back, they were running big hail damage sales. I expect to see "hail of a deal" sales soon.
