Default OBX round port headers on 2nd gen bird?

Sorry for bringing this back up. I searched on this question and found a few people talking about try the OBX headers that were advertised to fit 68-73 A bodies on 2nd gen Firebirds.

Did anyone actually try it ? If so what’s the verdict ?

I see no one responded to your post so I will tell you what I know about them. I have never had a set in a car but I have a set I use on my test stand. The first time I went to use them over half the holes had to be enlarged to install all the bolts I’m glad it was on the test stand or it would have been a pita. They are made long and skinny compared to like a hooker that squares up the tubes coming down.

I think I tried to slide mine in the Camaro/IA when I did that swap and they would not go.

As he said many of the holes do not line up and had to be clearanced.

I figured for the price even as a starting point where you have to change a few tubes would be cheaper than form scratch.
