Would love to see some pictures of your jet boat and more info about the engine and drive. Start a new thread?

FYI be carful using THE RIGHT STUFF -- if you use to much you will have to NUKE the pan to get it off , It is hell for strong and will bend a pan taking it off --

I used The Right Stuff on my 9" housing. I had to use a come along and a big dead blow hammer. Never again. |

I agree about the Right Stuff being over kill. But if you ever did run into the problem of getting a pan off or anything for that matter. A spackel knife and a hammer will cut through it like butter. It makes it a breeze believe it or not.. Just use the corner of the knife and go in on an angle..

What is so interesting about a pickup ? Since it has a larger tube it will be better than any stock or Canton type or any other one that uses that small tube with tight bend.
Really not much too it. |

Dragncar, how are things going on the build? The pan is for your stock block hp headed engine correct?

Shortblock is together, cam degree,d. Stopped working on it after I went to graveyard shift and it made it hard to get anything done. Terrible shift. Back on swing with a raise so I am working on it again. Car was not ready anyway, changes need to be made. (mid plate, V pump ect.) so the drag season was not going to happen. Heads are ready to go, intake needs a little milled off as I took .030 off the 80cc High Ports. Have a sweet custom 1050 built for the engine. New set of 2" Mad Dog headers. Putting a 02 bung in them. I put the thread back up just to show someone else a pic of the pan. Steffs is sending me a bolt in crank scrapper for free. Bolts on 1 1/2" below the pan rail. Then I Johnson is making me a Teflon scrapper that is going on the pan rail. Never head of anyone running 2 types of scrappers before but it looks like I am going to try it. |
