This is my list of people that say they want a early style.FYI,both styles WILL have the pontiac part number!
Beemergary New baby Steves birds 421mike Baddgoat This is the list that want a late style 4zpeed Mgarblik TA-69 ANDYA 3fastgtos Sun Tuned Mike Davis Mystic missle brut4s 61-63 There was a couple others that did not say what style so they are not on either list. The first style will be first as thaat was the original scan.If all works well the solid scan can just be changed to the late style on the computer and im told that only a a Xtra mold would be needed when casting.Jury is out.Tom |

I'm not sure if you are wanting each of us to come back at you to confirm our interest but if that is what you are seeking then "yes, you can confirm mine". John

Tom
I’m on the wrong list I think. I am interested in the 65 and up head intake. Not the early style. Just to clarify |

Hi Tom very excited !! Also appreciate he hard work you have put into this. unfortunately I only have a set of wide port Edelbrock cylinder heads. Also the bolt holes are in different locations for offset wide port. Any chance intake could be ported to match ? Maybe close enough?? If not how bad would it be if it was little smaller than opening on cylinder head intake port? Back in the day I remember somebody in the racing area are used to run oval port intake on a square port cylinder head for a big block Chevy. he said he made “more low end this way”.was that even a actual possibility? Do you or anyone who is interested know best cylinder head to look for that would make the best power and work with the late intake. I appreciate any feedback sorry if my questions are stupid I am just an amateur. Darren

You might get hold of Jim Robertson. He is converting my early one to late style. As I remember the walls of my intake are about 400 thou thick. He might be able to tell you how wide they can go along with moving a bolt hole. His concern right now was moving the water inlet and then filling and opening up the ports.Tom

Update, the solid scan should be done next week.I have decided to 3D print a plastic early intake from it to make sure its perfect before I go to the expense to have patterns made..Baby steps.I will post pics when it is done.Tom

I looked into 3D printing a intake also.Big issue is there are not a lot of cabinets avail to the public big enough to do the intake in metal.Im quoted at least 4K to print in metal. Its $1500 to do one in plastic.Im out of pocket quite a bit at this point so im being very careful before I get to patterns.Tom

I've been watching this thread. Have you looked into SLA Quickcast?
They 3D print a plastic pattern, mold a slurry around it to form a mold and then melt the quickcast plastic plug out of it, to make way for the aluminum pour. It's way cheaper than printing a complete plastic manifold, since it's like hollow foam, doesn't take much plastic and is is much quicker to print. https://www.protocam.com/additive-ma...iAAEgJDGPD_BwE FWIW, Eric

I like it. Don't think it would be cheaper to do this vs printing for a single prototype but may be a low production option if you can find someone that will investment cast the manifolds using the SLA masters. This way you get aluminum parts with no tooling.

I want to print a plastic pattern to know 100% that it will fit on my engine.Im working with guys that do this stuff everyday. One of the guys doing the solid worked at Edelbrock and for a company that did this stuff for F1,Indycar and NASCAR.The reason im going slow is because there is quite of bit of interest but I have not asked for deposits yet. When i have one that fits the engine, then it will prove who is the real buyers. As I said before the first run will be 61-64 water and port pattern. It has taken a long time for me to even get this far.Tom
