Default Does anyone have CR 69 Judge with Kalispell MT roots?

Does anyone have CR 69 Judge with Kalispell MT roots?

I had just moved to Kalispell MT in March 97 for a job. I was at a laundry as I hadn't found a place yet, and sitting there this 69 CR Judge pulls up. It was all original, kinda road worn paint. Interior was rough. On hazy memory I want to say tuxedo inside, but could be wrong. Talked Ponchos with guy and he said he wanted to sell for 17K. I can't remember if 4 speed or not.

I honestly can say I was oblivious to future potential of such a car then. One of those, man I shoulda got it.

Anyone have it?

There are a lot of Judge's in Montana. Growing up there in the late 80's and 90's in know of a bunch. One that got away but later resurfaced was a '69 CR Judge that was in Bridger Montana. It was stuffed away in a barn just outside of Bridger after a soft rollover accident in a ditch. The Judge had +/- 18,000 miles on it. There was minor damage to the right front fender, hood and roof. Other than that it was all there and untouched.

I could not get the car bought for $1k and it ended up selling to a guy in Billings for $1,200. Fast forward 30 years, the car resurfaces here in Texas all restored and looking good.

$17k was very strong money in 1997 for that car as described.

That is kind of what I thought at the time, like "he is crazy" and now I wish I could buy a 17K all original Judge, road ratty or not

I bought my 69 CR Judge in 1998 for $17.5. Car was in Tulsa Oklahoma advertised in Hemmings Motor News. PHS documented pattern car that was high #2 condition. Still have the car, just wanted to help the pricing scenario from that time period.

He was talking crazy stuff, guy looked like he was on a few year binge, and I looked at car and it was full of trash and stuff. I remember he was mumbling about it having an aluminum engine, I was thinking sure, sure...... IT JUST DAWNED ON ME THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A RAIV CAR. Aluminum intake!

I remember a 69 CR Judge in Kalispell/Whitefish area from 40 years ago when I would go visit my mom there. Had fatties on the back and well inflated shocks. Kinda beat. But I was 15 and thought it was way cool.
