Default 70 Judge question hood tachs

Picked up another 70 Judge this one as the other one has a hood tach on the PHS but this one has a tube that comes off the heater box and goes to the tach anyone have a date when they started using the vent hose

I think all 70 models with the tach had the heater to prevent fogging.

No they all did not have them
They started appearing in early april

Talking hood tach heat vent

Correct. My 1970 was delivered to me in March 1970 hood tach-no heater vent provision

I had an April built 70 survivor judge that had the heater setup to the tach.

I have an Oshawa built 1970 GTO Judge, factory UB5 hood tach car, late 06B, second week of June 1970 build date, with hood tach heater nipple on non ac heater box like you posted.

Never heard of an earlier car at a different US assembly plant having one ,neat stuff.

Here is a 03A Pontiac build GTO with the nipple for the hood tach heat. It has a 03-13 ship date.

I guy I know who restored a 69 Judge with an April date has one but I think he added that during the restoration.

You are correct, hood tach heating/ventilation certainly didn't come on any '69 Pontiac, so that was added.

For me biggest problem was fogging after a car wash. Vent took care of that.
