Default Instrument lights dead, but all other lamps and functions work

Thinking it’s the switch… but correct me if I’m wrong.
Using a power probe, checked gray wire at switch with switch on but get zero volts, initiated 12v from probe to instrument lights gray wire… boom I get lights.
Now checked for 12v red to switch, boom power! All other functions of the switch work. Just no power to gray instrument light wire.

Yeah… Ended up pulling the switch and smothering it in contact cleaner. Good as new… well it functions as it did 2 weeks ago
