Default decoding cowl tag

This from a '64 Pontiac 2+2. I've decoded everything on this tag, except the "ACC" code, which reads c13y85. I'm sure it's for two separate accessories, but I can't find them any where. Can anyone help me?

Tom, the "ACC", I believe, is the abbreviation for accessory, not air cond.

Sorry Tom I misinterpreted your 1st reply. Still, though, does anyone know of a list of accessory codes for 1964?

C13 - 2 speed wipers
Y85 - not sure, probably a trim option?
(custom leather trim in 1970)

Since this is a 2+2, possibly the Y85 is the code for that?

John, do you have a list of the codes or can you point us to one that exists on the web?

Just what I have found, no definitive web pages I know of?

The UPC/RPO codes are sometimes harder to know. (with Pontiacs anyway)

They usually use 'sales codes' it seems.
(which I don't know the one for the C13)

John V's article in Smoke Signals ( I think) had a lot of info on the codes.
(and he probably knows a lot more than me)

The RPO codes are fairly standardized across the vehicle brands, so Google any GM RPO code list and you should be pretty close. They do get re-used, so it is best if you can find a reference that is from the same time period you are researching. For example, an LS6 today (an LX based small block Chevy) is very different than an LS6 in 1970 (450HP big block Chevy). Many are the same today - C60 (A/C), B96 (wheel opening moldings), B35 (throw in floor mats) all come to mind.

Some plants, like the home plant in Pontiac, used the Group 5 system complete with the sales codes. Some plants, like Fremont and Baltimore, used the UPC/FNA descriptions like we use today.

Y85 falls squarely in the "Merchandised Package" section of the codes so it could be for "2+2". The lists I checked Y85 = Bonneville SSE.
