DRUM/HUB ISSUE

Installing new drums on the front of a 1958 Bonneville. Had to press the hub out of the old drum. Looking for the correct way to seat the hub in the new drum. The serrated part of the wheel stud doesn't want to go through the drum. I tried pulling it through with lug nuts to no avail. Afraid of snapping the wheel studs. I hesitate to try to press it in fear of distorting the drum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
