z-bar springs?
I have a new GM clutch fork in my '64. It doesn't look like the original spring (single from clutch fork to exh. man. stud) is going to work. I also, have a set of the '66-67 springs (2 piece set).... I see how to hook up the smaller of the 2 between the z-bar and clutch fork, as an "anti-rattle" spring. But where does the other larger one connect? Like to know before I drill a hole in my z-bar. my resto book shows an "equalizer mounting bracket".... what is this? Thks Tim

thks jarhead. I have diagrams of all the various years and their springs. The question is I have a '64 (everything '64) except the new fork. what's the best way to attach springs? the '64 single spring will not fit over the new fork... so now I am looking at later year setups (2 springs) but none of the diagrams i've seen show where the big spring (on the '66-67) setup attaches. Is it the frame, a bracket,.... I don't see anything jumping out at me.

Got it - you will need to drill the hole in the counter shaft but not sure where the equalizer bracket is mounted. Anybody out there with a 66 or 67 or may have access to one?
