Does anyone have some input regarding lug nuts and wheels. I just ended up buying a whole new set of rally II's because the wheel hole openings were becoming enlarged and the lug nuts were just pushing through the holes. Probably due to years of on & off cycles. I used the red insert lug nuts for rally II's. Any input on these or is there a better lug nut out there?

The 67-70 repro Rally II lug nut should suffice. As you have noticed, a ton of on off cycles, usually overtightening with an impact, not only destoys the lug seat in the wheel but also destroys the lugnut. On date matching "show only" wheels for concours Judges & early T/A's, we have resorted to welding up the the lugnut seats in the wheels followed by a considerable amount of grinding & finishing. I don't recommend this for drivers.

I appreciate your reply, however, it looks like the repro rally II lug nuts don't have as much contact surface compared to aftermarket chrome acorn type lug nuts. I don't want to buy another set of wheels in my lifetime. I want the best set up.
