Default 3rd Gen WS6-how to identify one?

Would there actually be WS6 markings on the body, or is it more of a vin/code reading exercise?
Thanks,
Russ

They did not have emblems on 3rd gens for the ws6.The only way is to find the white RPO sticker and look at the codes,it would be there. Here is an example of what the label looks like.

In most of the 3rd gen cars I've had and parted, the rpo code sticker is glued on the underside of the council lid.

My '87 has a Performance Suspension applique on the dash, but like almost everything else on the car, it's crooked. It's an LB9+MM5+J56+WS6 Formula.

The only time 4WDisc was standard was with LB9+MM5, regardless of model; B2L 5.7L regardless of model, and any 1LE vehicle. Other than that, it was available and recommended, bu not standard.

Default I disagree

.
I disagree, my decoded VIN clearly says Formula built in St. Theresa, Canada with special suspension. It's a Trans Am without the exterior panels.

My deck/hatch area has a factory WS-6 suspension emblem.

dlarkins, this thread is about 3rd-gens, NOT 4th-gens Firebirds. The picture you posted is of a 4th-gen.
