Go to the main page of PY.
Scroll down to the bottom.
Left side.
There is a box that says 'Responsive 2017'.
Click on it and choose 'PY Online 2015'.

Your format will change to the 2015 format.

Now you should be able to Post, Reply and Send Messages.

You MIGHT need to click on one of the 'Smilies' to get the text to start without FB crap.

Good luck!

Thanks, it worked!

Is there a way to set the 2015 as default?

When I logged out and then back in, I was back to 2017 version.

I guess because I’ve been using the 2015 version for quite some time I haven’t experienced any issues.

Thanks for posting this thread, an easy fix.

I’m still wanting our forums admin to find out just exactly what’s corrupting the forum software.

I just temporarily switched to the 2017 version and it still works okay for me. It may be dependent on your computer and browsing software - I have a MacBook and use Safari.

I am having the same problem, using Firefox on Windows 10. Went back to the old version and it works.

I don't log out. I just close my browser. When I open PY back up it is the older version.

I just noticed that I don't have to go back to the main screen to see what version I am using. It is in the bar on the bottom left of any page I go to. There is a drop down menu showing all options.

I have found that if I click on 'Reply with Quote' the new window/page appears. As I scroll around, the cursor changes from the arrow to the finger point hand. The bottom of the page then shows it is a link to facebook. If I then click, it does take me to facebook. Clicking when the cursor is an arrow, nothing happens. I am on 'responsive 2017'.

If you're having weird problems with getting redirects to Facebook when using the forum, try changing your view: scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and in the lower left there is a little window where you can select different methods of viewing the board. The problem appears to be related to using the "responsive 2017" format. Change it to one of the other options and try again.

There wasn't anything wrong with Responsive 2017. The problem is Facebook.

I do not have a Facebook account and never will. However, about 1/3 of the threads on the forum divert to a Facebook opening page when chosen. I have switched to the 2015 view as instructed and it seems to work ok. Way, way above my pay grade to know what caused this or how to fix it. Good luck to the mods and administrators.

My assumption is that whoever was able to access the PY coding did so with the "Responsive 2017" version enabled and may not have even realized there were other versions of the site.

i also don't assume that because the redirects are to Facebook that it WAS Facebook who did it, could have just been a random, annoying choice, or some way to harvest Facebook logins by tricking people into thinking they had to log into Facebook.
