My situation has been taken care of thank goodness. Thanks to John. Based on conversation with John and the experience I had, I would NOT recommend using Fed-Ex to get payment to him. Their schedule and inability to follow simple delivery instructions could create a hang up. I would use a different method if I had to do it again.

I ordered and received an aluminum thermostat housing from Ames. It came painted and is a nice casting. The machined face that bolts to the intake was a little rough. I worked it on a surface plate with some 280 paper to clean it up.

Looks to me that a 65 tripower thermo housing is a safe one as it is pretty much pointed toward the middle so whichever the position of the radiator top outlet can be worked out with a hose?Tom

Good news all, intakes were shipped today and more on Monday. As usual the foundry let us down again. Was to have more intakes to machine last Friday, then like Wed and then today. The delivery company has the intakes but did not deliver and wont have them untill Monday so that blows a whole weekend where John could machine. So far checks have not come in enough to keep up.I will start pushing guys back from Group 1 and move up guys from Group 2.We have 4 out of 10 for early and 6 out of 10 for late.If your in group 1 and have not got checks out please PM me and will move you back if you want or scratch if you changed your mind. Thanks to all that got payments in quickly.Tom

Once again it would really be nice if we could get the tracking numbers of these shipments.

John is jumping through his ass just getting intakes machined, packaged and shipped. He is one man and has a full time business to run besides doing these intakes!Give him a break.I believe the ones that shipped yesterday should be there Friday depending on how efficient the shipper is.I could not get there yesterday so dont even know which ones got out.Tom

Tom this is bullcrap. When I first brought this up John and I PMed one another and he indicated we would get tracking number(s). I provided my phone number, email address, and of course he has my contact source here, and told him whatever means was easiest for him would be great. I bought two intakes for $5130 with shipping which is not chump change. Is/are the box(es) insured? I don't know. If so UPS will require me to be here to sign for them. I have a doctors appointment next week which I will change if it is necessary so that I can be here when UPS delivers. I very much appreciate what both you and now especially John have and are doing getting these things done and shipped but asking for the tracking numbers is not unreasonable.

I should say here that I would happily go to John's place of business and text/email/whatever the tracking number(s) to each buyer if I lived in the LA area, but I don't. However I will do it from here if you or John will text or email me the numbers and buyer contact information each time you ship a batch of intakes..
