He drove right by the garage where a 15,000 orig mile 69 IV GTO sits. I didn't have the heart to tell him!

I sure did & still do!

Landed here at 12:35 AM - after over 700+ miles in 4 states.

The car - 1971 LeMans GT-37 late build (June)

Originally 350/2bbl, 3spd man, 10 bolt open, now 455HO, T-400, 3:07 12 bolt Posi.

Prior owners, Richard Wright of Purely PMD in Albuquerque, NM, Gary Daniel & Steve Hoog of OK and most recently Mr. Wankers County Sheriff hot chick wife!

This car was destined to be the next project after Purely PMD completed their RA V Judge but due to unfortunate circumstances was never started. Gary bought the car from them with plans to build/restore it and Steve did the same. Eventually it made it's way to PA where it received a frame off restoration and a little upgrading.

It now sports a factory tach & gauges cluster behind a formula wheel. The bench seats were recovered in the factory pattern with NOS material and the door panels were duplicated as well.

Todd apparently never liked the car and although his wife used it for daily use for a while didn't like the gas mileage. In March it ended up on e-bay with a very short description and some very poor pictures and only bid to $7,100 before Todd & I spoke on Sunday (day 6 of the auction) and the auction was pulled. A couple of phone calls later, a deal was struck and yesterday it was picked up.

A correct set of KU wheels will be on it this afternoon with Firestone Wide Ovals coming shortly (thanks Gene). A correct air cleaner has been sourced (thanks Roger) and some tuning following recommendations from several board members will be taking place.

It looks virginal in white, but this HO's a tramp and I can't wait to get some rubber on those quarter panels! Gary, keep your phone close this afternoon - you can take a ride with me again!

It's been so long ago; honestly I can't remember much about what was going on with it at my house, other than gathering a few parts.

I'm looking for one - if push comes to shove I can always pull the one out of my red car.
