Default SNIPER EFI STEALTH 4500 - SHINY Sniper EFI Stealth 4500 - 8 Injector - 800-1500 HP

Wondering if any of you have any info on Holleys new EFI SNIPER EFI STEALTH 4500 I have been waiting for a larger set up for my 535 as I'm looking for more street use & the Dominator is really not Street friendly! This system looks really nice. Price is $1650

That’s the first I saw of that. Looking on the Holley website is says not for use on engines making less than 800HP.

Default Bump an old thread

Is anyone using this these days?
I spoke to Holley and they said it would work very well on a high torque 535 at 800+ hp. I didn't inquire about anything under 800 though.
Another benefit is that it will data log. It also easily out flows a 1050 dom and has shift output. Has rev limits and boost control built in. The timing control set up throughout the rpm range is identical to the other holley efi stuff like the terminator x and dominator stuff. Pretty good software imo. They guy I spoke to did say that the duty on low rpm and low power is the krux. If you are asking the injectors to run at idle, and low rpm and low power ranges alot then they will be working very hard in the duty cycle to keep fuel out of the big injector sprayers. There are only 4 vs 8 with the dominator efi system. The more fuel you are demanding the less strain and wear.
If someone was using this on a street driven engine where those ranges are used more than the high power ranges it would wear out the injectors pretty quickly I think.
If anyone is using this piece I'd love to hear more feedback. Anyone add an additional o2?

Are those programmable?
If so,Are they able to be tuned using “points” on the fuel curve?

I’m with 69Maizbird. Is anyone using one of these? I’d like to find out some more info.

Yes you can use points on the fuel curve. Petty cool programming imo. The LS turbo guys love the holley efi stuff for that reason.

Side note, I'm going to race S st for a few next year I'm new to the stop racing but excited. Good to see a fellow Pontiac doing it! You run kre? How many races you hitting next season?

That’s cool it’s programmable!!!! I have always scratched my head on running something like that with a throttle stop.

It’s great to see new folks come out and run with us throttle stop guys. Definitely not a popular kind of racing but it is technical and mechanical challenge.Without a doubt it is fun to try your hand at. There are a few on this board that are experienced throttle stop racers feel free to ask questions and I can try my best to help you out.

What division are you going to run?

I did chase the division for years with a 535 Pontiac had both MR-1 and IA-2 blocks. 2 different complete motors and with the rising cost of travel the grind just started costing me way to much to keep up with both motors. One motor I gave to my dad as a retirement present and separated and sold the 2cnd. I run a big corporate motor now. It will take some financial help if I were to put the Pontiac back in the car to run it at NHRA races.I still am involved with Pontiac power with my old mans stuff. We have found a bit more reliability but I’m always looking down the road to try and stay ahead.
As far as KRE,All Pontiac,Butler,DCI I like all their stuff. Definitely a good group of people for sure.

I plan on running 8 division races and 2 national events this year.

PM me if you need anything I can try my best to help you out.

I am using the set up on my S/G car 583 and 1210 hp -- easily tunable and runs great -- the t/body is 1440 cmf but as its injected and not a carb there is no lag and it is very responsive.

I contacted Justin at Holley and he said on a large displacement engine with higher power levels injector life will not be a problem. A smaller CID, MAYBE?

interesting, i wonder if it is 16 volt and e85 capable. even if it loses 15% hp possible wit the fuel that still is a half ton of hp. I looked through the Hollley instructions and see no mention of either e85 of 16 v. looks like the dual sync dizzy is a must have to realize the full potential of the efi and timing control.

only one comment from over A YEAR ago that said the injectors are not big enough to support 1200 hp perhaps they have made a change though

Awesome! So the system supports 1200+ NA horsepower cool deal!

When you say responsive and no lag, leads me to a couple of questions.
Were you 1to1 with your car before with your rips/whomps?
(Even gaining 200hp I’m still at 1 rip of the throttle to kill .01 or 1to1 with my old trusty 1050 dominator)
And with it it being “more responsive” do you think that ratio would change any?

How long did it take you to get that thing dialed?
Does it have like a self auto correct for fuel ratio?

I was reading the info on the Sniper.

It says that it can control timing, can you change the timing control manually?

Yes it will Jeff. I am going to try it with my 6530. If you run it with a MSD it becomes a 4 wire hook up. My fuel system minus regulator is already sufficient. I probably won't install until spring though.

I already have a Holley 510-12-1200 pump Jeff. With the exception of the regulator, my fuel system should be good to go.
