Saw her standing there in the doorway and it hit me. 32 years of waiting, hoping, praying, working and saving is about to over. I can’t breathe. Haven’t been this wound up in decades!

Good choice. What color was it before?

Will, it was a GM color from the 2000s the previous paint shop found. The original color was Warwick Blue, which is too light for me but cool to see on the interior door panels. I am hoping to go a little darker from last time and think it will be cool to have an original 69 color

3 weeks unless they need parts or money. They need help, you could relocate to the beach. I brought them my bumper and rocker trim today. They are saying "next week"

Ha, definitely after hearing eveybodys horror stories! A couple weeks feels like an eternity. Kind of like that old blues song lyrics "the sun don't shine when my baby's gone"

One year only, impossible to find parts for, no aftermarket available, front end complete. Next week. Dash and remaining interior. Then I suppose I may lower it a couple of inches. IDK. Will have to see how she sits with interior and fuel. But, she’s kinda tall right now.

Yup, wait until it's all together, and go from there.

Sweet ride!

I can't find a paint jail to get into. All the shops around here are over a year out.

Had red Judge stripes and decals as bought before the fire. This time it will get the blue stripes and no decals or badges of any kind. Let ‘em think it’s a 71 Cutlass. For whatever reasons I get a lot of that. “Hey! My brother had a 71 Cutlass just like that! Awesome!” If I get pulled over, “71 Cutlass… Sir!” I mean, it is pretty “Supreme”.

Just got billed 4.25 hours for “research” and install of 3 v-belts on a running engine. I’ve pulled the plug. Told them to pile my parts in the car. I’m out! FATS!

If you decide to get stripes, make sure you get them from Pheonix Graphics, they are the only correct reflective stripes out there. With a white car, the color changes at different angles will be excellent due to the contrast.

For an example, you can check my build thread, there's a couple shots at different angles that show a range of colors.

4.25 hours, well, not many body shops are well-versed in mechanical stuff, especially non-chevy GMs.
