Default Opinion on Hurst Wheel and Tire combo

I know this is dangerous, but...Let me know what you think.
I'm getting ready to buy a new set of tires for my Hurst wheels. I can't decide on black wall, white letter, or red line. I don't know if white letters really suit Hurst wheels.
If I go with white letter I will probably use radial TA's.
Wheels will be on a 69 crystal turquoise convertible GTO. Might even put them on an orbit orange Judge. What do you think?

Narrow white walls or redlines.

Black walls make the wheels look tiny and out of proportion.

Raised white letters a big no.

On that car and year radial Red Lines would be my vote. On a 66/67 I would go solid white letter or Red Lines. Not a prettier wheel for a GTO. Absolute jewelry.

I'd go redline, they'd look good next to the turquoise. Thin white walls might be less sporty, but I bet they'd look good too.

Yeah, when I bought the wheels they came with a set of red line cokers already mounted on them. I went to get in the car one day and right rear was flat. I tried to put air in it and couldn't get it to pump up. Turns out the tread just completely separated and fell off. I have since learned that cokers are known for doing this. So, I'm not going back with cokers.

A convertible looks classy with white walls.

Or you could blow everyone’s mind and do the wide whites.

They’ll be talking about those wheels and tires at the show for sure, both good and bad.

Pictured is my set with the originally mounted General Dual 90 triple thin whites (haven’t been produced since about 1968) and with some 215/75-14 Coker Classic wide whites. They’re going on my ‘64 Le Mans convertible.

I got a nice deal on them so I figured why not.

I was planning on some narrow white walls and likely after these are done I’ll go that direction.

The lucky Hurst wheel recipient pictured below. It may never be a nice looking car paint wise but I’ll sure enjoy driving it with the torquey 421 HO, never having to worry about getting scratches in the paint.

I get it, redlines are a nice look, but when everyone is doing the same thing it gets old.

White walls!

I know they make radial tires with bias ply look in red line and raised white letter (Wide Ovals) in sizes that work for our cars, but haven't seen them in white walls. Are they available anywhere?

There’s another company that makes the tires I’ll have to look up the name they are more money than Coker but people are very happy with them. Took me some digging to find the company last time. It was about double the cost of Coker’s though.

White walls!

Funny.... Seems to be that most people seem to go with RWL's or blackwalls and that gets old.

Redlines are the better option, with whitewalls #2.

And with Hurst wheels, the redline is the best choice.

In my humble opinion...

WOW !! Double the cost of cokers. I think coker's are about $1,200. so that would be expensive.
