Brian - an fyi - a turbo car on gas will do the same thing if it is set up to build boost on the starting line - its not loading up - it is a function of timing to get boost up quicker -

Not down here in the Jungle. 1/8th mile.

Heads up on the bumper. Oh yea.

It has it's 3" going down track! Well, isn't that where it matters?

Curt -
LOL!! You wouldn't believe how many times I have grabbed a tape measure "just to make sure". It's actually about 2 3/4" right now, we do have to raise it a touch. That picture makes it look like it's zero!! LOL

We're in the process of getting stickers made for the front end for the grill/headlight inserts as well as all the emblems, that will break it up a little and make it look better.

TQ

Great job with that. Awesome car! I want to see this in person! Next time you plan to bring it out I'd like to come watch!

Jim I think the trash outside of the groove is what makes Huntsville Huntsville! Last time there the gang in front of the tower were placin bets on everything and anything. Even who'd hit the wall. Its all part of the "atmosphere". Very much reminds me of serious street racing!

Very Nice work, Travis and Rodney,

Very good that you have the exhaust forces balanced side to side with the car. Always though Grebeck's single exhaust pushing sideways had some effect on his crash. Calculated, it was about 165# of extra force on the right side at speed.

Minimum air under the car with the nice work on the chin spoiler.

Did you put any deflectors on the leading edge of the wheel openings?

I noticed that the rear tire is "inset" nicely in the real wheel house, and you have a open area after the rear tire for the dirty air to escape.

What was the final windshield inclination?

Looks like the rear of the car might be similar to Mikes car as far as aero goes.

Curt -
It's a B&J four speed with a clutch. The car is geared for eighth mile only right now, when we get everything sorted out we will most likely go to a five speed, in the event that we should want to run some 1/4 mile stuff....just for Norwalk and other Pontiac related events. everything we run here is 1/8 mile.

TQ

Think Travis already posted that it IS PAINTED.

"Darth Vader Black" would seem to me to be an appropriate name for the
color but I think it is painted.

Reminds me of Johnny Cash and "The Man in Black"

ps Any decals from will really stand out nicely on the Black Paint background.

Orange with black tiger stripes.

Unlike some other famous Pontiac race car, since it has a real Pontiac motor, it'll never be referred to as a "63 Nova" or like the Tameless Tiger, "a '64 Chevelle."

Works for me. I was afraid they might paint it red. Red sucks. I had a hard time just getting a red stripe painted on the funny car.
