Default 1969 Grand Prix Front Turn Signal/Parklamp Lenses 'Group Buy' interest if reproduced?

This post is to find out how many of us 1969 Grand Prix owners would be willing to buy new reproduction front lenses for our '69 GP's. Currently the '70 though '72 GP lens is reproduced, but not the '69. There were 112,486 GP's built in 1969 and I know there are many of you out there that need them. Help make it happen and post your reply. Be sure to mention how many sets you would want to buy.

I'll take two sets.

If affordable, I'll take one set.

Jeff

Edited for quantity.

$180 for a set is affordable.

Affordability is of course a consideration. I don't have a single set that doesn't have a flaw. I would be willing to commit to a set.

The current repro '70 - '72 lenses are running $89 each. I've seen one of those next to an nos piece and they are exact in my opinion. They of course have the amber reflector lens built-in which I'm sure would be more expensive to make rather than the all clear '69lens. I would gladly pay that over the $400 plus for an nos pair.

I need a couple of sets for my two 69's and maybe an extra set for a spare.

Default I'm in for a pair

Grant : If they are $89 or less that sounds reasonable. And Yes, I amd sure the all clear would be cheaper to produce.
Thanx Dave

112,486 GP's built and the front lenses are one of the hardest parts to find. I had to settle for '70 lenses. I'll take a set!!!

Dave, haven't heard a word yet. I'm not sure how often they monitor this or if they've even reviewed it yet. We have several more '69 owners in another forum that are willing to purchase as well.

69gp72 group on Yahoo. We started another poll there to get an idea of how many would buy these lenses if produced.

I'm good for a set or two, just paid over $150 for one side NOS.

Funny they chose to do the later ones first. the majority of 69-72 GTO's at shows and eBay etc are 69's. 70's were half the production and 71-72's don't seem to have much of a following.

Frustrating to pay so much for a small part on a car with limited value, bought a set of parking lenses for $15 NOS for my 69 LeMans vert and the car is probably worth more than my GP.

Default ebay ad for lenses.

I emailed them and asked them if orange reflector is molded or glued on and he replied "GLUED ON"

Grant have you approached them to doing these w/o orange ?

Thanx Dave

I would also be interested in a pair. I would think that this is one of those parts that most folks restoring a '69 would need as they didn't hold up well over time even when pampered.

I'm wondering how this sort of request gets monitored and what it would take to have these lenses reproduced? I can see there would be close to 100 orders right off to get it started. Most '69 owners would buy 2 sets from what I've seen. How about it PY, whats it going to take? Do we need to go straight to the vendor that supplies the '70-'72 lenses? Car show season is approaching and many need new correct lenses for their '69 GP's.
