How many generic cars must we endure watching before we see Rodney's car?
This is a nine minute video; where is the good part? Last edited by Scott M; 10-07-2009 at 09:19 PM. |

Butler power!
that car will be a lot quicker,
soft hit, lifted early(down about 30+mph) and still runs that quick!! |

1/8th mile is where its at. 1/4 mile is on its way out thank god....1/4 mile is fine for bracket racing, but heads up racing is extremely better 1/8th mile. Better to watch, better to race, less expensive for track owners and car owners.

Scott, everyone knows that reaction time and 60 fts are drag racing, the rest is just NASCAR without the corners.
As cool as the Auto ProMods are, it's the 275 Drag Radial cars running low 5's that impress me. |

Maybe for something slow, like 9 second cars, sure.

scott,
if you had a fast car, you would know what they are talking about. |

I already know what they're talking about.
People with fast cars don't complain about the second half of the track being boring. 1/8th mile racing is a fabulous cure for insomnia. |

So a car running 177 mph in the 1/8 is boring.Scott, where is your 4 sec car? I have been to Huntsville and those rednecks have some fast damn cars.Glad to see the butlers running that '63 Lemans,4.53 = 7.0's in the 1/4 not to shabby.

Nostalgia heads up to the 1/4 mile is still very exciting, especially when watching fuel cars running in the 5.80-6.20 range.

Not bad, but did you check the race right after it with both cars pulling huge wheelstands? Yikes!

I can only imagine the carnage the ADRL cars would have running the full 1/4. 180 to 200 MPH in the 1/8th. That is amazing racing.
