Default Rear shocks?

What's currently out there as far as a soft riding set of rear shocks? Taking into account the back end is so light I know mixing shocks from front to back has been a fairly common theme so the back doesn't become a kidney buster. Seems I've even seen that discussed here before but can't find the info.

Thanks.
