Default '68 Firebird 400 4-spd cpe project car, Calif car

***1968 Firebird 400 4-speed coupe, project car***
*I imported this car from Calif. 13 years ago—have copy of Calif title and orig. Calif. Plates. Car now has Va. Title. This is NOT a “clone”, it is an original 400 4-sped car.
*ORIG COLORS: Solar Red, w/ standard Parchment interior
*Was a complete, running car when I pulled it in my garage 13 years ago, it’s all there.
*Bumpers rechromed by “Bumper Boys”
*entire F. clip, doors, and deck lid have been stripped, had body wk done, Metal-Prepped, and primed in Ditzler 2-K primer.
*Have new tinted W/S and tinted side glass & rear vision.
*The entire car and all parts have been stored in my garage or basement, not outside.
*NO rust in quarters, rockers, floors—floors have surface rust only, need only sandblast and prime.
*This is an ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED car.
*Orig, correct code 14” x 6” Rally II wheels, w/ good trim rings, ctr caps, lug nuts.
*Have a set of 15” x 7” Rally II’s also.
*ENGINE: Pont 400 out of a ’69 Firebird 400 4-spd car built in Van Nuys plant. Bored 60, crank is 10 & 10 under—pistons: TRW (Speed Pro) forged, machined by Butler to achieve 9.5:1 compression-rods: Scat forged “H” beam—Brngs: Clevite 77, cam brngs installed.—crank is stock Pont nodular iron. CAM: Comp Cams “Extreme Energy” 268 hyd. “K-kit” (complete kit w/ double roller chain) Eng not assembled. Pistons, rods, rings ARE assembled. Rotating assy w/ flywheel has been balanced.
*HEADS: Pont #16—new hardened seats, new guides, Harland Sharpe 1.5:1 roller rockers—Ferrea Stainless 1-pc. Valves. Comp Cams valve springs (from cam kit).
Heads were perfectly flat, did not need milling.
Lots of extras: Orig hood w/ fact hole for hood tach, NEW Goodmark hood—cores to install power disc brakes (single piston calipers off of “A” body)—all OE parts, w/ correct date codes for Power Steering,-- FACTORY Rally gauge cluster-- original AM radio—have stock intake and Edelbrock Performer.
*TRANS: numbers matching original Muncie M-20,, rebuilt by local former Corvette mech who worked at Rosenthal Chev in Arlington, VA for many years—he does the man trans’s for the Capitol Area Corvette Club—looks and is like new, you can take the side cover off and see for yourself—fact orig Hurst shifter, has been rebuilt by Hurst (now Mr Gasket)—flywheel machined.
Car will need interior, paint, wiring.

There’s more, E-mail me for pictures or with questions.

Selling for $12,000—I have a lot more than that in it.
The difficult stuff has all been done. It won’t take much to make this a very nice car. I’ve lost interest and momentum.
