It was all the bolts on the outside of the head that felt looser. The ones inside the rocker covers were tighter.

My old 72 455 HO block the holes were not deep enough on the outside for the Edelbrock bolt to get tight without 2 washers. No problems on my 70 455 block.

It was weird not all of them, but they were on the outside. Edelbrock also on their bolt torque specs uses a different value on the shorter bolts whereas the ARP instructions do not, but Edelbrock uses the same ARP bolts..
