Default Pictures Sent Come Up Sideways

If anybody can tell me how to correct the pictures I upload from my computer and they come up sideways on PY Online Forum I would really appreciate any suggestions to fix this. I have tried to contact the site administrator no response and even contacted the Geek squad. I cannot rotate the picture on PY Online Forum before sending it. The only thing I can think of is taking the picture with my phone sideways instead of taking it upright and then try sending it. I have an Iphone 8 and a Dell computer with Microsoft Edge as the browser.

If you put your picture on a picture server sight first, it will never come up sideways. I post all my pictures that way. It may take a minute longer to do the extra step, but it works perfectly.

I have no experience with cell phone photos, but on a computer do the pictures look correct? You should be able to rotate them on your PC using whatever program you have on it (Paint, etc.) Open the picture, rotate it as necessary and then save it. Then try uploading them here.

When you take a picture with a phone or a digital camera, the device stores the orientation of how you held it what's called Exif data. There may be a way to adjust that Exif data on your phone, I know I can do it with my camera.

If you take a pic on your fone, take it long ways. ( fone on its side)
With a tablet, let it initialize, before taking, or it will be sideways or upside down.
But, someone on the admin side can put a photo corrector on the uploader, I did that on my forum. It fixes bad pics automatically

I have tried to rotate the picture on my computer before uploading it and it still comes up sideways. I have Microsoft Photos where I download the photo from my Iphone to Photos and then upload it to PY Online Forum. I guess I'll first try taking pictures with my phone sideways first and then start working on all the suggestions you and others have given me. Thank You

Most phones shutter button on the right. If it's on the left the picture will be upside down.

That happens on my phone a lot when posting pictures.
If you bring a photo up on your screen. Click the edit button. Then this screen comes up. That icon at the bottom of the screen with the square box with the arrows around it, let’s you tilt the photo. All you have to do is tilt it one degree either left or right, and it tells your phone which way to orient the photo on the screen. Works every time. This is for iPhone users. PC’s couldn’t tell ya.

Default Pictures Sent Come Up Sideways

Hi 67drake,
After spending countless time trying to figure this out I reposted my picture (resized first) and then tilted my phone and then posted it.Thank you for your reply. You would figure the phone should auto correct when you send but it doesn’t

Glad it helped. I had no idea why my pics were sideways or upside down half the time, until another member pointed this out in a thread.
