I think you might have a picture of the wrong part. I have a 67 that I just took all the factory AC stuff off of and there isnt a part that looks like this... I have every part that came off the car

Is it possible that yours is just missing? It's a part that is commonly thrown away. What is on the the bottom of your heater box? Without this part, the passenger gets little to no heat in their footwell. The picture I posted is the correct part, but it is upside down. #6 in this pic...
