Seat Belt Length
I know this was covered here previously.....and I actually did write down the details......but you know how that one goes....
Tried a couple of searches....but it didn't come up... I'm sorting my seatbelts...and have found 3 or more different lengths of female and male end belts..and some of them may have been robbed from A and B bodys...but need to know correct lengths for 70-73 F-cars.....Thanks |

What year?
Have 1970, 1971, & late 72 production standard F-body belts I can check. Looking for an Irvin drivers side front retractor assembly for a late model 72 F-body. (Don't care what color the thin flexible plastic molded cover is as long as the cover is not torn)

FYI:
the only difference between 1970 & 1971/early-1972 are the drivers side "male" parts; 1970 it was a retracting belt, while the other was a fixed length in a plastic sleeve. I believe that the following belts all have unique lengths:
Now I have never seen them in person, but I have understood that the optional rear shoulder belts may have been the same as the front shoulder belts - I do not know if the "female" end of rear shoulder belt was the same as the front or rear "female" belt.

Measured a '71/early '72 front seat male lap belt.
From the very bottom of the plastic "stalk" to the very top of the plated male end: 20 1/4" On the female belts laying against the passenger bucket seat, one is indeed 4-5" longer than the other. Will investigate further in the AM, am going to have to get up in the mezzanine & pull out some boxed sets.

GH, Here is a picture of the original upper shoulder belt in my '70 Formula, so you can measure from the mounting point to the bottom of the rear seat cushion for overall length.
