Favourite track pics
Didn't even know this existed until someone found it for me (I don't do Facebook) but it's my favourite now.

Here's a couple nice ones I found after this year's Drag Week. One is from Byron and the other from Indy.

Sorry, I don't know how to post a picture but here is a link.....
https://pontiacstreetperformance.com...onthelight.jpg My car at the 2000 Pontiac Uprising in Ark City, KS. My son was driving, I believe his second time behind the wheel. I like the picture because the green light is on and the glow of the yellow light is visible. 10.79 at 124.9 mph. .

Here's an old one. Can't remember what year but I'd guess close to 20 years ago. I think we were at a race in Columbus. Arnie was strolling through the pits and took a liking to dad's car. Said he had one just like it in 69. Ended up signing the sun visor and talked for a good while.

I have so many good pics of Stock & SS Pontiacs, it's REAL hard for me to pic just 1.
Hey, it's hard for me to pic just 5. But, since the limit is 5 pics per post, I'll just put 5 on this post. #1 is the former Scott Burton B/SA RA4 powered '70 Bird. It is the all time quickest Pontiac powered Stocker, as far as I know. #2 is the Brad Burton D/SA 455HO powered '72 Bird. Brad has won lots of races & 2 national Stock championships in it. #3 is just a cool pic of those 2 Burton Birds. #4 is Randi Lyn Shipp, in her '67 Bird Stocker. She has won 7 nat events & is this year's div 5 Stock champ. #5 is the former H-O Racing Specialties SD455 T/A. It was a nat rec holder back in '77, in SS/KA. Now belongs to the Cleggs. J.B. ran some mid 9's in it, with a 4-speed trans, a few years back. 1st Alternate might be the Ken Shawver '78 SS T/A. It was a many-time Indy class winner, & was #1 qualifier at Indy one year ! Then there's the Truman Fields '68 Birds, & the several time nat event winning Sonny Ray '72 SS GTO. Or, how 'bout the Mulry & Aceves '74 Bird Stocker, which set nat records in J/SA, K/SA, & L/SA. It also qualified #1 a lots of races & went more than 1.5 sec under it's index quite a few times. Then there are the Tons-a-Fun '72 Lemans wagons. Charlene Wood set records, got class wins, div race wins, a nat event win, & was inducted into the NHRA div 1 Hall of Fame. Well hey, I could go on & on. But, I'll stop there & post my 5 pics. |
