Is there a part number visible on an original '69 rear deck spoiler?
Thanks. |

How do you tell if your Judge spoiler is an original one or a reproduction? I thought a part number would be the way, but if there isn't one how do you tell?

I have a Judge wing and wondered the same thing a while back. I did a search on this site and found that an original has a small drain hole punched in the middle bottom and I believe that the edge of the wing has a sharper lip than the repro, but you may need to have both side by side to see the difference on the edge. Turns out my wing is original, PM me if you want pics.

It is a small hole in the center of the wing near the back. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I will be checking out the spoiler that I picked up through Ebay & hopefully see if there is a little drain hole. The seller mentioned he pulled it off a hardtop Judge several years ago, not that it means that its a legit spoiler but the seller nor I was able to tell the difference between an original & a reproduction at the time. I also wondered if if there is a significant weight difference between an original vs. a repro. The spoiler I have weighs in at 8.5lbs. on my digital scale.
