Default 1979 Rim Question

I just picked up a non drive- 79 L78 WS6 car, I'm going to use a tow dolly to take it home. Car has been sitting for over 20 years. I have a new set of 14" GM Disc Brake Rims on newer tires that I was going to swap out on the rear for the ride home. Does anyone know if I can throw the 14" for transport, or will I have disc brake clearance problems. I was just trying to avoid any tire blow out issues on the highway.

Thanks in advance...

Wow,
Not something many have possibly tried.
I'd say that if the 14's were made for disc brakes, you'd be fine. The amount of clearance needed on older cars (even the 79) was nothing extreme, like needed on newer stuff, and generally the rear is less of a problem than the front, but I have not tried this...just thinking the deal through...
If you don't get many responses, I'd post this in the street section...

Do you have or know of anyone w/ a similar car that you could bolt one of the wheels onto???? even bolting one on the front, might give you an idea...

Wish you well!!!
