Default This is a rant. Lunati Poor Customer Service

Am I the only one who gets disconnected when using Lunatipower.com chat function? It appears to me if you ask too hard of a question and they don't know you get disconnected. How dare they shout at me in cap letters. I was disconnected by two different agents. They can kiss my behind.

It's like those sobs have better things to do than answer customer questions. I will never buy their fecal products again. Same goes with recommendations they will never get one from me.

They do not stand behind their roller lifters.

Ditto. When I called a couple of years ago about a bad roller lifter, the "customer service rep" ranted at me about the idiocy of retrofitting roller cams in Pontiacs.

I'm having a less than delightful experience with a vendor that has been months behind in fulfillment and when checking, keep lying that it's either being shipped that day or never return the phone call. Why lie?

It's hard to keep crediting it all to COVID-related challenges...

I dunno... I paid Crower the $10 “cam recommendation fee”, got some guy working from home with his chihuahua barking in the background. Nice enough guy but he did not dig for information or ask any particular questions about my combo. I told him some basic information about it. He asked me which cam I was interested in and when I told him, he just said “Yeah that’ll work”. I don’t hold it against Crower but I’m not impressed much either.

I suspect that there are a number of peeps on this board that know as much & more than them.
Why not try here?

Thought his name was TIM Goolsby, at least the guy I have talked to for many years was named Tim.

Tim is very knowledgeable and a great guy to consult with. Also a "Pontiac Guy". John Partridge is the owner of Bullet cams and purchased the assets and intellectual property of Ultradyne years ago. When we went to Arnie Beswicks induction ceremony into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in FL, Joe Lunati was also inducted. He had recently sold the company to Holley Group. During his acceptance speech, he ripped Holley for "ruining his company just months after buying it". The audience was a little stunned. I guess he was right and it's been a downhill slide from there.

Lunati Chat function?? What the hell is that?

Why not just pick up the phone and call them.....Much easier You may still come away with the same conclusion but at least you take a lot of other variables out of the equation.

And yes, I've been dealing with a few vendors lately that are late filling orders and every single one blames it on this Covid BS. It's probably going to continue on until the government, and the states, just stop with all this mandate nonsense and get things back to the way they should be. Until then, be prepared for long waits and lots of excuses.

This is kind of why I asked for screen shots. I help run a company that uses a chat feature and honestly I wish we just didn't.

Both you as the company representative and the customer on the other end are imparting your own internal dialogue on how you're interpreting what each other is saying and how it's being said. There's a ton of human element that is left out and what can seem like arrogance, ineptitude, poor manners and ultimately "poor service" may simply be a breakdown of communication that may not have occurred on the phone.

When in doubt, pick up that phone.

Comp has been the worst company I've dealt with. 4 months of phone calls (got hung up on or put on hold for as much as 5 hours) to 4 months of unanswered e-mails. Another reason I'll never buy a cam or anything else from Comp.

Last year I ordered a custom grind hft cam from Lunati. I did it over the phone and I have no complaints. It went way better and faster than most places I have to call.

I have tried the chat option a couple times with other businesses (non auto related), with mixed results. They will time-out after a period of inactivity, even if it's because you are waiting on them to respond.
