Default Paint finishing order of operations

I've never been quite clear on the order of operations when it comes to the final buffing etc. of a new paint job.

What is the proper terminology for the products you need and in what order should they be used?

Cutting, buffing, polishing, etc.

I cut with Eagle yellow 1000, 1500,2000 dry on a 6” 3M dual action. Change disc at first sign of a pigtail. It’s shot at that point. Dry helps to see the peel and trash.
Then Trizact 3000 8000 wet
Buff with a black wool pad and ACA 3D 500 on a rotary
Polish with a chemical guys green foam pad and Menzerna 3 in 1 on a rotary.

Lots of ways to do this. This works for me.

If I have any wave I first block it with 600/800 on a hard block. Luckily this doesn’t happen often.

Eagle Tolecut blocks and precut sheets work great on runs.

I buy it from Eagle Guys.

https://eagleguys.com/

I use a Presta wool pad. This one because it interchanges with my foam pads.

Yes. I have another small rotary that I run 3” foam pads on for tight spaces.
