Default Fenders

Anyone know if the 68-69 fenders have gotten any better ?
I wish one day AMD will do them. Just curious as even good ones that need heals are getting hard to find.

AMD claims they are not doing anymore GTO sheetmetal. Evidently the 64-5 quarters didn't sell as well as they had hoped.

I have one original fender that I'd sell. Needs the typical repairs. I'm in MA. I forget L or R

Opg released a vid on YouTube about there fenders claiming they fit well and I posted a question on the vid asking if the quality had improved with no response. Im guessing they will still need modifications to fit properly.

In the OPG world, all their items are "A Perfect Fit"

I bought AMD front floorboards for my 68. The ribs were nice and crisp and looked good, not all muted like some other brands. But that is where the praise stops, they required a lot of work to get them to fit the car. I do restoration work a living, and they fit no better than floorboards that are a 1/3 of AMD's price. Their stuff might be great for Mopars, but I have not been too impressed with some of their GM stuff.

Exactly!!! OPGI's strongest suit is blowing smoke. The Taiwan '68-69 LeMans/GTO fenders are JUNK, always have been.

Even the last production runs of GM service '68-69 fenders (NOS) had issues with the placement of the lower inner braces. Those have to be taken apart & refitted.

Needing a high quality fitting '68 or '69 fender, best avenue is to source & propperly repair a fairly clean used fender that is a mild rust out. Done properly, the metal repair will not be noticeable from front or back side.
