Inner & Outer tie rods ends
In keeping up with my dumb questions..........heres todays, im getting mixed up on whats the inner and outer.........im taking it the outer rod with zert on bottom is the one closest to the wheel.............that one i have the moog es333rl..........the inner is the moog es681n with the zert out the side.
Getting a headache trying to figure this stuff out, am rethinking the tie rods altogether, tryed looking up some proforged, cant seem to get any numbers for a 66 gto.........any help would be appreciated. Rich |

The position of the zerk fitting allows clearance for the grease gun. The outer rod have fitting on bottom so they can be greased with tires in place.

tie rod interchangeability
Am a generalist, not a Pontiac expert. Supposedly the 66-67 Pontiac A inners (tie rods) are unique, and not the same as other '66-'67 A bodies. What is the difference, and why is it different?
