That is some nice 3D main cap girdle design. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, working on this stuff in my spare time doesn’t get very far when I have no spare time. I will have very little time to finish any of these projects til after October now. Hopefully I can get the first girdle fitted in a few weeks though. The Pontiac engine girdles are finished, I just have to pick them up along with some other mfg projects getting finished too. I had 10 girdle’s made. They are somewhat different than what I posted. I am using 3 of them, I should have 7 extra. I want to see how these fit before I make more. Some guys just want the halo set up without the rail supports. But for the price, they may end up changing their mind. The girdle’s will retail for around $350 with the pan rail supports, the fastener fasteners will be added to that. So looks like 400-450 for the works.

We decided to change things up a little for the car in this thread. The GTO tribute is going to get the 450 cid 750-800 HP NOS engine I am building. The turbocharged Pontiac engine is going in our mid engine McLaren M6GT sports car replica. Photo is of one Dad had years ago, he still has 2 though. We have a third, the chassis is pretty much done, waiting for the engine (PPTTF!). It is red, and has a similar stance, a couple inches taller than the car in the pic. I don’t think ours will not have the whale spoiler on the back. It is a fiberglass body on rectangular tube chassis, Mustang2 front end, corvette back end, 425 transaxle. Ours even has A/C. Lol.. We will see how that works out.
