These would be badass on the 326 short deck I'm building. Sadly, way out of my budget.

Its a 301T block, 4bolt mains (7/16 outer studs), building a block girdle for it. Filling it up to the bottom of the freeze plugs. Going to be 4.030". Using a 316 forged crank, 3.25 stroke, that was welded up for 3" mains. Eagle 6.250 HRJ rods, superlight Icon pistons. Solid flat cam, RA4-ish specs on a 112, roller rockers, stud girdles. Right now have a set of 48s that have been ported. Dont know what they flow, prob 240-250cfm. Cut down TQII with runner extensions added in the plenum, plenum divider, 1" divided (or open) spacer, 750 Edelbrock

They would work with the 301 bore but still tight. Are you on board with the hybrid head gaskets from Joe?Are they welding up the thrust also?Tom

The thrust was welded up. This crank is beautiful. I have not had the rods turned down yet, but will keep it 3.25" stroke.

I am using Program billet caps and will machine the cap for the 400 thrust bearing. The cap (and the crank) will keep the upper bearing from moving. Not planning to use a bearing spacer.

I have heard about the (Cometic?) head gaskets, but don't know who has them. Do you have contact info? Thanks.
