Looks great...So, what patch panels did you get?

I had to fix what i had, after i ground everything down i decided i would use them . I thought the patch panels would be a good way to fix them. Ames was right, " use only as a last resort".

I have the car all blocked out and the doors on so now its ready for paint. Now I just need to find time to get it painted.

Do you do a guide coat (Chaulk) and sand with 400 on a DA ...as a final sand ?

I use the black chalk by 3m and block with 400 . I don't use a da.

I find with all the blocking from 120...180...220.... reprime....more blocking...and that final DA with 400....just flows it all together and gets rid of any of those blocking edges in the primer. After 45 years ...I know how to use a DA ...lol

I've used the da to but feel I do better with a block, after 40 years its hard to change old ways.

Still using Sno Ball and nitro Stan ....he he he

I use it on large flat panels like hoods, deck lids and roofs, it works awesome for that if you know how! I usually end up blocking the quarters and fenders if they have a contour to them.

Just get the foam cushion interface....and you can easily DA contours with ease....after blocking.

Its going to be a blue similar to Lucerne blue.

Painted the small parts, color looks really nice outside. I used SPI clearcoat, l like the results.
